1. 一个小短文

看到一个科学小短文(1),题目是:

Everything Is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of Our Deadliest Infection

一切皆结核:人类最致命传染病的历史与顽疾

里面有一句概括的结论,笔者眼前一亮,所以分享:

Tuberculosis has killed about one in seven people who have ever lived.

结核病已夺走了大约每七名曾生活在地球上的人中一人的生命。

这个小短文主要是提及一本书Everything is Tuberculosis/《一切皆结核》。

写这个推文时,也留意到这本书亦被柳叶刀系列杂志(2)提及。

4. 结核分枝杆菌感染(Mtb,结核的主要病原菌)的地球

4.1 下载地球

  1. 从https://bioicons.com/?query=earth通过点击复制“earth”矢量图。

  2. 在Adobe Illustrator中新建A4文档。

  3. 粘贴该brain到A4文档。

  4. 通过画板工具调整空白区域。

  5. 导出为png图片(150 ppi、消除锯齿:无、背景色:透明)。

4.2 下载结核分枝杆菌

  1. 从https://bioart.niaid.nih.gov/discover?q=tuberculosis&sort=relevance通过下载结核分枝杆菌矢量图素材。

  2. 用Adobe Illustrator打开。

  3. 去掉多余的元素,只留下结核分枝杆菌的矢量图,并调整分枝杆菌的填充色为红色。

  4. 通过画板工具调整空白区域。

  5. 导出为png图片(150 ppi、消除锯齿:无、背景色:透明)。

4.3 结核分枝杆菌感染的地球(just for fun)

Mtb是胞内菌(3),即其可生活在细胞内。

Mtb感染地球这幅图即暗含结核病依然很严峻,又暗含Mtb感染细胞(想象地球是个细胞)。
